David Toney - National Coach WJJF (Ireland)

Offering over 20 years of commitment and expertise to our 50 clubs in Northern Ireland is David Toney, 6th Dan. Sensei Toney received a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002 for his outstanding contribution and dedication to the Federation. Following this, he was invited to host the first World Congress to be held in Ireland, which took place in May 2003.

At the Awards Ceremony for this event he was given the honour of promotion to Technical Officer for the Organisation. However the mark of a good leader, and the strength of a good Martial Artist, is his ability to recognise that standing alone, the same achievements and progress can not be made.

As the association grows and his responsibilities widen, Sensei Toney finds himself becoming involved in development work, gradings and courses internationally. This puts additional responsibility on his now large team of hard-working Instructors and their Assistants, and Sensei Toney is the first to acknowledge their dedication and loyalty and the commitment of his large membership of dedicated students.

Without your continued support, we would not be the most successful Martial Arts Organisation in the Province.
